Troubleshooting Common Issues

I can't log in or I'm locked out of my account.
For security reasons, your account will be locked after 5 failed login attempts. To unlock your account, please visit the Contact Us page to begin the process for submitting a help request.

There are required fields that I don't have an answer for.
If for some reason you encounter a required field but that field doesn't really apply to your particulars, enter "NA" into the field (if it's a text field).  If the required field is a date field, select today's date. If it's a numeric field, enter "0".

The ESA form just spins.
There is a known issue with the Electronic Signature Authority form display when using a Safari browser on a Mac. If you encounter an endless spinning wheel and you are using Safari, please close Safari and try again using Chrome on your Mac.

The "Submit" button is disabled, so I can't submit my permit application.
In most instances, the preparer of a permit application cannot submit the permit application. Rather, the Responsible Official (RO) or Designated Responsible Official (DRO) will have to submit the permit. If you encounter this scenario, you can share the application with the RO or DRO, who will then be able to submit the application. You can share application by following these steps:

  1. Go to the person icon and select "My AccessDEQ" from the menu.
  2. Click on the "Applications" tile.
  3. Locate your permit application in the listing table/grid, and on the far right, click on the "Actions" listbox and select "Share Application".
  4. Enter the email address of the person with whom you would like to share the application.
  5. Enter their role.
  6. Click on the "Send Sharing Invitation" button.
